Security operations review.

Get value from the security tools you already pay for.

The median time to fully remediate a vulnerability is 32 days, and only 54% of edge-device vulnerabilities ever get fully remediated. Most businesses don't need another security contract. They need someone to make sure what they already own is configured correctly, alerting on the right things, and producing reports that someone is actually reading. Verizon DBIR 2025, SMB Snapshot

What we review

Endpoint detection and response.

Reviewing your detection platform end to end. Detection policies, exclusion lists that may be too broad, automated response actions, and whether your agents are deployed across every device they should be. We check whether your tools are actually stopping the techniques attackers use today or just generating alerts nobody reviews.

Cloud security posture.

Auditing security configurations across your cloud and productivity platforms against industry benchmarks. Conditional access policies, MFA enforcement gaps, external sharing settings, and third-party app integrations that may be moving data outside your visibility.

Log coverage and detection rules.

Mapping what's being collected against what should be collected. Testing whether detection rules actually fire correctly. Common findings include log sources that stopped sending data months ago, detection rules generating so many false positives they get ignored, and high-value events that aren't being collected at all.

Firewall and network controls.

Rule review, segmentation validation, and public exposure assessment. Looking for overly permissive rules, rules referencing decommissioned systems, and segmentation gaps that would allow an attacker to move laterally between network zones.

MSSP report translation.

If you have a managed security provider, we read the reports they send you and translate them into what matters and what to do next. Most MSSP reports contain useful data buried under boilerplate. We extract the findings that require action and help you have a more productive conversation with your provider about what you're paying for versus what you're getting.

Third-party involvement in breaches doubled in one year, from 15% to 30%. What your vendors do with your data is your problem, and your tools need to see it. Verizon DBIR 2025, SMB Snapshot

How it works

  1. Intake.Mapping your security stack, understanding your team structure, and identifying what prompted the review. What's frustrating you. Alert fatigue, unclear reports, tools you suspect are misconfigured, or gaps you can't quantify.
  2. Tool review.Read-only access to your security tools. Working through each platform systematically against best practices and industry benchmarks. Examining recent alerts and incidents to assess detection quality. Pulling reports to identify patterns.
  3. Findings report.Prioritized recommendations with specific configuration changes. Each finding includes the current state, the risk it creates, and the exact change to fix it. Quick wins separated from structural improvements that need planning. Written for your IT team, not for a security executive you don't have.
  4. Implementation support. We provide the recommendations and partner with your team during implementation, explaining the reasoning behind each change so they can maintain the configuration going forward.
